Observing the sky can be very rewarding. Many objects can be observed with the naked eye. One of the remotest objects visible to the naked eye is the Andromeda Galaxy , distance : 2.3 million light years!!  More targets become visible in binoculars and small telescopes. Over 300 deep-sky objects are visible in a 60 mm telescope! The favorite targets of amateur astronomers are the 109 Messier Objects. All these celestial wonders are a visual feast for the amateur stargazer. It is my pleasure to share with you my collection of observations of the night sky. I have named it 'My Pencil Sketches'. In no way will my simple renditions have any scientific value. But the feeling to have observed and drawn these objects myself is great. Somehow it brings me to closer to the answer of that one question : Why are we here?
